On Sunday, March 23, former Meigs County High School standout Lainey Fitzgerald’s current college team, the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, won 12-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Western Illinois Leathernecks.

The game took place at Tech Softball Field. This was their third matchup against the Leathernecks this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at 1 p.m. at Tech Softball Field against Morehead State Eagles.
