On Saturday, March 22, former Meigs County High School standout Lainey Fitzgerald’s current college team, the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Western Illinois Leathernecks.

The game took place at Tech Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Leathernecks this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 3:10 p.m. at Tech Softball Field against Western Illinois Leathernecks.
