Census Bureau: More women than men in Charleston in 2019

Of the 745 people living in Charleston in 2019, 60.3 percent (449) were women and 39.7 percent (296) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Tennessee News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 259-to-179. In the 65 and over age range, there were 95 females and 54 males.
