We have recently been made aware of an on-going phone scam involving the citizens of Bradley County. It has been reported that individuals representing the Publishers Clearing House and other organizations have been scamming citizens of out thousands of dollars - up to $10,000 or more.
They are using VOIP phone numbers, which have been traced to countries overseas, and requesting that you pay taxes and other fees on your winnings before they are sent to you. They are also asking for the money in cash or pre-paid cards.
We encourage everyone to please be cautious of this scam and never give out your personal information or send money to uncredited sources.
