ThreeStar certified county's are eligible for CDBG and Fast Track Incentive of a 4% discount (for eligible projects) on the business development ability-to-pay calculation. Monroe County has saved over $500,000 being ThreeStar certified through this program.
Our ThreeStar certification allowed us to write a grant for up to $50,000 to complete one or more of our identified ThreeStar goals. Blaina Best, Monroe County Tourism director and the Chamber of Commerce worked together and received the entire $50,000 to use toward wayfinding signage throughout the whole county.
The Chamber wishes to recognize our community partners who assisted with the goal setting and are helping us obtain those goals.
