Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Tuesday, July 5th, 2022

Police stood by to keep the peace while an individual retrieved their personal property from an East District residence after a disorder had taken place. 

A fire alarm was activated at a West District church. They were testing the alarms. 

EMS transported an elderly individual who had been injured from a low fall in the West District to the hospital. 

A two car crash was reported in the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway. 

Police responded to a hold up alarm at the Verizon store. The alarm was found to be accidental and no police action was required.

Walmart reported a theft. 

A traffic stop in the 10000 block of Lee Highway led to the driver being charged with driving on a revoked license. 

Officers made contact with several suspicious individuals in the 5900 block of Edgmon Road. Two individuals were taken into custody on warrants for their arrest. Another was cited for being in possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Three Collegedale fugitives were booked on their warrants. 

Police assisted a motorist in the 9300 block of Lee Highway air up a deflated fire. 

Officers responded to an individual in the West District having mental health issues. 

Officers responded to the West District’s Robinson Farm neighborhood after a resident had called in about person knocking on their door. It was found out that the suspicious person was looking for their AirPods that were pinging in the area. Police were able to locate the AirPods and gave them back to the owner. 

Police got out with an intoxicated driver slumped over the steering wheel of their vehicle behind the Springhill Suites motel in the West District. The driver was arrested for DUI, felony possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. 

While conducting nightly business checks police made contact with two individuals standing outside of their vehicle in front of the closed Village Market, inside the city’s South District Fleming Plaza. The individuals stated they had stopped to smoke because they did not smoke inside their vehicle.

Officers assisted a motorist in the 9500

block of Apison Pike. 

EMS transported an elderly fall victim from the West District to the hospital.
