Bryan College Lady Lions Receive AAC Honors

The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced this year's Women's Soccer All-Conference awards on Thursday afternoon, and the Bryan College Women's Soccer had several members make the All-Academic Team. To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or above.

 

Members include Campbell Brown, Blanca Castro, Lauren Cox, Chloe Etherington, Anna-Blair Fish, Delanie Gebhard, Makenna Gebhard, Macy Gibson, Kathryn Hager, Makenzie Heiss, Emily Karnes, Kylie Murphy, Ashton Neill, Elizabeth Scott. 

 

The Lions recorded 12 goals on the season with a shot percentage of .082. They averaged 12.2 shots per game and took a total of 72 shots on goal with a percentage of .493 and overall, they took 146 shots in AAC play and a total of 10 assists.

 

Ashton Neill was named to the AAC Champions of Character Team. To be voted to the AAC Champions of Character Team, an individual must represent the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. One player from each team is selected, and it was Neill who most represented these values for the Bryan squad.
