Bryan College 11 Lady Lions Earn Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes on Monday. The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) placed 101 on the list.

Thirteen of the 15 AAC teams had at least one student-athlete to earn the honor. Bryan had 11 honorees, make the list. Those honorees are Kylie Murphy, Emily Karnes, Ashton Neill, Elizabeth Scott, Allie Ward, Chloe Etherington, Anna-Blair Fish, Makenna Gebhard, Makenzie Heiss, Delanie Gebhard, and Kathryn Hager. 

The 2022 list features 1,557 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
