The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the weekly awards for men's lacrosse on Monday. Kyle Gasior took home the Defensive Player of the Week award. This was the third edition of the award.
Gasior earned the award based on his work on face-offs and ground balls. The senior won 47 of the 58 face-offs he took part in during two games this week, for a .810 face-off winning percentage. The Rocky Ridge, Md., native picked up 34 ground balls in a week where the Bulldogs went 1-1. Gasior leads the AAC in face-off wins and ground balls.
This is the first weekly award for Gasior.
