Full time starting pay at $15.02, top out is $17.74, depending on experience. Part time pay is at $10 per hour.
Position involves enforcing rules and keeping order within the jail, supervise activities of inmates, aid in rehabilitation and counseling of offenders, inspect facilities to ensure that they meet standards, search inmates for contraband items and report on inmate conduct.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, a US citizen, high school graduate, no convictions, guilty plea, or nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any federal, state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substance; any military discharge must be honorable; must have good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation; and must be able to pass a psychological exam, and drug screen.
