5.5% of McMinn County residents considered unemployed in 2021

McMinn County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,310 people out of the 53,065 living in McMinn County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in McMinn County has decreased compared to the 6.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in McMinn County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 22,440 people who had a job during that time, 48 were employed in the Armed Forces and 22,392 belonged to the civilian labor force.
