8.4% of Rhea County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Rhea County recorded an unemployment rate of 8.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,177 people out of the 32,723 living in Rhea County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Rhea County has decreased compared to the 8.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Rhea County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
