2022: 26 coaches at institutions in Bradley County earned on average $42,255

Bradley County’s 26 coaches earned an average salary of $42,255 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 13th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Tennessee post-secondary schools during 2022.

Bradley County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Lee University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $59,791.

Male coaches of men's teams received $52,194 on average in Bradley County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $45,282.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
