On Sunday, March 2, former McMinn County High School standout Ollie Akens’ current college team, the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, lost 5-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Old Dominion Monarchs.
The game took place at Reese Smith Jr Field. This was their first matchup against the Monarchs this season.
The Blue Raiders’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. at Joe Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park against Austin Peay Governors.
